On the afternoon of September 23, Mr. Hu Yafeng, Vice Administrator of China National Space Administration (CNSA), met with Mr. José Raimundo Coelho, President of Brazilian Space Agency, who is attending the 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) held in Beijing. Both parties made deep exchanges on China-Brazil space cooperation.
Hu warmly welcomed Raimundo for his coming to China. Hu said, the China-Brazil space cooperation in the past nearly 30 years has achieved fruitful results and played an important role in the regional economic construction and social development, and now both parties should make further cooperation closely to ensure the successful launch and operation of the CBERS-03 satellite this year. Hu hoped that based on the equality and mutual benefits and guided by 10-Year Space Cooperation Program between China and Brazil, both parties will create new cooperation modes, expand cooperation areas, thus promote the space cooperation between the two countries to make even greater progress.
Raimundo expressed that he agreed with Hu’s suggestions and will continue to deepen the cooperation of the two parties and promote the space industry of the two countries to enter into a new stage.
The related heads from the Department of Engineering, CNSA and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) attended the meeting.
